As
a critical psychologist,
I emphasize psychology's role in supporting an unjust status
quo.
That includes an unjust legal system.
"Psychology
and Law" as a specialized field of study began in the 1960s as
many social psychologists turned their interests in applied directions.
I got into it in 1986 when I began a two-year post-doctoral program
at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Law/Psychology
Program.
I'm
an inactive member of the American Psychology-Law Society.
I used to be on the Editorial Board of the journal Behavioral
Sciences and the Law.
